About
Ane Bjerkan is from Inderøy and now lives in Oslo. The debut album "Nothing But Cherry Blossoms from now on" (2017) garnered praise both at home and abroad. In 2021 she released her second album "Vagō", a detailed production mixed by, among others, Francesco Donadello. In 2024 “Eynni Idri” (the inner island) was released at the label KOSO. She has also released the EPs "Songs for Jirka" (2018) and "Winter Grit" (2019) on the record company Pisco Records.
Previously, Ane has released music with the indie band Østfrost (2013-2016), the trio Deshane (CZ/No) with the album "Kopsloin" (2015) where Ane wrote lyrics and composed. She has also collaborated with the band "Five Seconds to Leave" on a release by Fullmoon Magazine (2020). In 2023, she has been active with the experimental trio MÅNIN, made music from recycled materials; "Upcycled music" with Mari Lesteberg for the University of Oslo, as well as written texts for the project "Streets in the sky" by Camilla Hole for the jazz orchestra OJKOS. In the 2025/2026 season, she will perform her own music together with the South Czech Philharmonic in the Czech Republic.
